What is ARC?
ARC is an environmental consulting firm based out of Waterloo, Ontario specializing in environmental remediation, emergency spill response, environmental site assessments (ESAs), and compliance. The firm was founded in January 2020 and has experienced personnel with a focus to deliver high quality, cost effective, environmental consulting services for a wide range of environmental projects. ARC holds a Certificate of Authorization (CofA) with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
Our Team
Roger Schieck, P.Eng.
Senior Engineer
Roger is an experienced professional engineer with over 19 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. Roger has significant experience managing large and small spill response projects for clients ranging from municipal government to others including truck and rail transportation, residential, oil and gas, and manufacturing for spills ranging from simple diesel or heating oil spills, to complex concentrated acid spills. Roger also has significant experience managing and performing due diligence projects including Phase One and Two ESAs, site remediations, risk assessment and toxicology, and hazardous and designated substance identification and removal. In addition, Roger has managed a number of projects including industrial hygiene and air monitoring, site restorations, emergency preparedness and planning, environmental construction, and environmental litigation support.
Alex Hamilton, P.Eng.
Senior Engineer
Alex is an environmental engineer and project manager with over 9 years of experience in the environmental and geotechnical consulting industry. Alex has completed a wide range of environmental and construction projects including small to large scale emergency spill response, site remediation, and risk assessments for municipal, insurance, transportation, residential, oil and gas, and manufacturing clients across Canada and in the United States. Alex has significant experience with environmental drilling investigations, groundwater sampling, remedial excavations, in-situ groundwater remediation, compliance sampling, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
Cameron Richardson
Intermediate Environmental Scientist
Cameron is an experienced environmental scientist and project manager with 7 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. Cameron has significant experience managing a wide range of environmental projects including small to large scale emergency spill response projects and environmental Site assessments. Cameron has a demonstrated history of managing all aspects of environmental projects including site assessment, environmental monitoring, remediation, on-Site water treatment, and restoration. Cameron has worked with a number of clients ranging from municipal government, insurance, industrial facilities, class I railways, oil and gas and pipelines across Canada and in the United States.
Jason Knight, P.Eng.
Intermediate Engineer
Jason is an experienced environmental engineer and project manager with 6 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. Jason has completed a wide range of environmental projects including small to large scale emergency spill response projects, environmental due diligence, and risk assessments. Jason has worked with a number of clients ranging from municipal government, insurance, industrial facilities, class I railways, oil and gas and pipelines across Canada and in the United States. Jason is competent with environmental drilling investigations, groundwater sampling, remedial excavations, in-situ groundwater remediation, compliance sampling, and industrial hygiene monitoring.
Kathryn Starratt
Intermediate Environmental Engineer
Kathryn is a intermediate environmental engineer with over 2 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. Kathryn has demonstrated experience in a wide range of environmental projects including small to large scale emergency spill response projects for insurance, industrial, class 1 railways, and oil & gas pipeline clients across Canada. Kathryn has competent experience with all project aspects including environmental monitoring, remedial excavations, site assessments, and restoration.
Jon Bundrea
Environmental / GIS Specialist
Jon is a environmental and GIS specialist with 6 years of professional experience in the consulting industry. Jon has previously worked in the agriculture industry, as a GIS analyst using geospatial technology to help clients solve environmental problems and reduce environmental impacts. At ARC, Jon provides GIS based support and services to clients and colleagues, as well as supports a variety of emergency spill response, monitoring and site remediation projects (groundwater, soil): through conducting fieldwork, preparing technical reports, and executing various project management duties.
